Brotherly Love

I am still surprised that Zak pulled Brett's first tooth. I am even more surprised that Brett let Zak pull the tooth. There was a lot of giggles and no tears!!! I love that they have that special memory!!

My King of Hearts!!!

Each year around Valentine's Day, Colleton Prep has a King and Queen of Hearts to raise money. Each class votes a boy and a girl to represent the class and the class raises money for them. Who ever raises the most money gets to be the King and Queen of Hearts for the school and help crown the Homecomming queen and king the next fall. Zak didn't win for the school but he was voted to represent his class along with Lexie Murray. He and Lexie have gone to school together since preschool.

The boys love to go into the garage with Jim and work out in the evenings. He enjoys having them out there with him.

The BACON EXPLOSION!!!

On Superbowl Sunday Jim made a Bacon Explosion. It is bacon rolled up in sausage and wrapped in bacon. With BBQ sauce slathered on for good measure. Not something we should eat often.

Mr. Perry Tuttle Comes to Walterboro

My mother-in law knows Perry Tuttle and he gave her a call one afternoon as he was passing through town. We were lucky enough to meet him. He let my boys wear his Championship ring. Jim almost had his finger amputated when it got stuck. He gave Zak and Brett signed hats. I just happened to have a sharpie with me.

"Perry Tuttle is one of Clemson's greatest wide receivers of the all-time. Tuttle played for the Tigers from 1978-81. During his career, he was a first-team All-American in 1981, and set then-Clemson records for receptions and yards. Tuttle also had at least one reception during the last 32 games of his Tiger career. He still ranks fourth all-time in receptions (150), second all-time in receiving yards (2,534), second in touchdown receptions (17), and ninth in yards per reception (16.89).
Tuttle will always be remembered for his performance in the 1982 Orange Bowl. In that game, he had five receptions for 56 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown pass. That touchdown catch was the final reception of his Clemson career and earned him a place on the cover of Sports Illustrated. He remains the only Clemson athlete to be on the cover while still a Clemson athlete.
Following his Clemson career, Tuttle was chosen with the 19th overall pick of the 1982 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. After a three-year NFL career, Tuttle went on to the CFL where he had a six-year career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He helped lead the team to a Gray Cup Championship in 1990 and was inducted into the Winnipeg Hall of Fame in 1997. Tuttle was inducted into the Clemson Hall of Fame in 1991 and named to Clemson's Centennial team in 1996."

We went to our first hockey game this year. This is my niece Jessi with Zak and Brett and the mascot. It was a fun evening.
